Feedback Results
I received a lot of positive comments from my colleagues with a few who stated that their school is experiencing some of the same problems that we are. I felt a little bit better in knowing that we were not the only school who had low extra-curricular participation numbers. I had a few who also suggested that I include a parent survey. One of my colleagues also suggested talking to sponsors, directors and coaches and find out what strategies and/or methods they were using to recruit and retain students. Thanks and good luck to all.

Michael, in a meeting I had with our IT department about my action research project I stumbled across something that may help you. I am going to add it to my intern plan and implement it into my program at Lamar. It's called Market Place. If you haven't already heard of it, it is basically an online store you can create for your program. Sponsors can make donations with it, you can sell t-shirts, you can have parents pay for summer camps, etc. I'm very excited because it will cut down on the amount of cash I have to deal with and make fundraising so much easier for me and the people supporting us.
